Sudden cardiac death in sports
19-year-old Russian hockey star and New York Rangers draft pick Aleksey Cherepanov collapsed and died on the bench after scoring the first goal of the game. His name is added to a growing list of young, seemingly healthy athletes who have suddenly died while playing their sport. Fortunately, sudden cardiac death is rare; but how can it be prevented?
